Wastewater seminar in Tallinn, January 24, 2019

The VillageWaters Final seminar 'Sustainable Solutions for Small-Scale Wastewater Treatment' was a good opportunity to meet and network with experts from other Baltic Sea countries. In the seminar space there was room presented VillageWaters products, roll-ups and leaflets. The seminar included presentations and panel discussion.

The output of the project were presented. The main output of the project is the Information Tool which helps to find best available wastewater treatment system for villages and households.  

The seminar included (1) the summary presentation of the project with final key results and findings, (2) presentations of invited national experts – Antti Tooming, Ministry of the Environment, who shared 'Financing opportunities for small-scale wastewater treatment plants in Estonia' and Mariia Andreva, Union of Baltic Cities, who shared 'Platform on Integrated Water Cooperation - enhancing continuous cross-sectoral cooperation in water management field' , and (3) a panel discussion 'How to motivate people for wastewater treatment' with invited panellists from project countries, which was leaded by Lotta Nummelin, a Managing Director at Baltic Sea Fond (Östersjöfonden).
